Indonesia deserves to be proud of the success of the film ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’ which has been quite successful in attracting people’s attention in the United States & South Korea. And now, the film that highlighted the Balinese traditional culture finally held a special screening in Jakarta on August 14, 2019 at CGV Grand Indonesia.

This special screening could attract the attention of a number of important guests. Important guests who attended included the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya and also the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa. All guests who attended witnessed ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’ looked serious listening to each scene for the scenes presented. The beauty of Bali is perfectly spoiled in this film by Livi Zheng.

“The story was cool, the ending was also really hit,” said Jenny, one of the guests who attended.

Through the presence of this film, the name of Bali has become even more elevated. An inspiring message from gamelan player and composer Nyoman Wenten who pursued dreams as a Balinese artist in the United States was also conveyed. Audience seemed invited to dissolve into the storyline that led to Balinese Gamelan music.

Livi Zheng admitted, the gamelan theme in the film ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’ became a very interesting story force. The story has become colorful.

This film came stronger with the appeal of Balinese gamelan, as everybody has known that gamelan music is Indonesian traditional ar as its name has been worldwide. Even often used as musical illustrations in the film Avatar, Star Trek TV series, Nintendo games to NASA.

“I hope this film could play a role in popularizing Indonesian culture in the world and inspiring Indonesian youth to love the culture of the nation,” Livi told Travelmaker.ID after the special screening.

Some achievements have also been achieved by this film. Besides being played in the theater with the world’s largest screen in South Korea, the latest and proud news. The film ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’ will be distributed by iQiyi, the largest online streaming company in the world, based in Beijing, China. This online streaming company is owned by Baidu, which has 96.8 million customers in the world. It will air ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’, which was nominated for an Oscar nomination for the Best Picture category.

Not stopping there, the film by Livi Zheng was also glimpsed and finally aired on Walt Disney Animation Studios.

“The film ‘Bali: Beats of Paradise’ was a huge success. The main message that lifted Indonesian culture in the US as a whole was also conveyed. What Livi Zheng did with her idealism was very inspiring. Film was indeed an ideal media to promote Indonesian culture and nature, “said Arief Yahya.

“Tourism Ministry was very supportive to promote this film. The hope was that the natural beauty, cultural uniqueness and friendliness of the Indonesian people will be increasingly known throughout the world,” he concluded.
