Airline safety, and product rating website, AirlineRatings.com has revealed the 2024 list of the 25 safest global airlines.
Air New Zealand secured the top spot, excelling in challenging conditions, followed closely by Qantas. International carriers dominated, while only Alaska Airlines represented the US in the top 10 due to aging fleets.
In the low-cost category, Jetstar and Frontier led globally and in the US respectively.
Editor-in-chief Geoffrey Thomas highlighted stringent evaluation criteria considering incidents and fleet age, emphasising ongoing challenges for airlines worldwide in maintaining safety and operational excellence amidst evolving conditions and replacement programmes.
