Scoot, the low–cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has once again bagged the “Best Long–Haul Low–Cost Carrier” award at the World Airline Awards 2022, and the “Best Low–Cost Carrier” award for the Asia Pacific region at the 31st Annual TTG Travel Awards 2022. This is the second time the airline is receiving both awards, and consecutively. In early September this year, Scoot also received the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards 2022 for “Best Low–Cost Air Cargo Carrier”, cementing Scoot’s position as the low–cost freight carrier of choice.
Scoot Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leslie Thng, said, “We are honoured to be recognised as a leading low–cost carrier by our valued customers, the travel professionals and business partners in the industry, and are grateful for their unwavering support through COVID–19. These awards would not be possible without the teamwork of our dedicated staff and are a testament to our commitment to providing our customers with quality service, unique experiences and great value, in line with changing market and consumer realities in the new norm.”
General Manager of Scoot Indonesia, Johanes Ong, said, “In everything we do, we always put our customers first. We provide the best flying experience for each of our customers. We are very grateful to receive these awards and also wish to dedicate these awards to our outstanding staff, who have remained resilient and committed to providing the best services during COVID–19. Now as the travel regulations relax, we cannot wait to meet our customers again and provide the best service for them.“
A decade ago, Scoot began with just one aircraft in its fleet, with our inaugural flight from Singapore to Sydney. Fast forward to now, where we have been serving Indonesia for more than 5 years, connecting travellers from Bali, Jakarta, Manado and Surabaya to key destinations such as Jeddah, Phuket and Seoul. Scoot offers 54 destinations for booking as of September 2022. Scoot network presently encompasses 71 destinations across 15 countries and territories in Asia–Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
