Regent Seven Seas Cruises has begun construction for Seven Seas Grandeur, with the ship’s steel-cutting ceremony having taken place at Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy on November 2, 2021.
“Seven Seas Grandeur will be a culmination of Regent’s rich history of providing discerning travelers unrivalled experiences with every imaginable luxury included, and world-wide, immersive exploration,” said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “We are delighted to once again be in the hands of the talented engineers of Fincantieri, who will produce a ship of refined style, matchless elegance and breath-taking beauty.”
Designed by the award-winning Studio DADO, Seven Seas Grandeur will host only 750 guests and have a gross tonnage of 55,500, providing among the highest space ratios and staff to guest ratios in the industry. She is a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer, The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built and Seven Seas Splendor, the ship that perfects luxury.
Recent reveals of Seven Seas Grandeur, which will embody the luxury cruise line’s heritage of perfection, includes all 15 lavish and spacious suite categories, the jewel in the crown being the palatial 4,443 square foot Regent Suite, complete with its own in-suite spa.
In addition, renderings of exquisite specialty restaurants Prime 7 and Chartreuse have been unveiled, along with the captivating reimagined design of the largest specialty restaurant at sea, Compass Rose, which offers an unprecedented, fully customised epicurean experience with an unequalled variety of gourmet options available nightly.
Montague added, “We recently recommenced operations with the re-inaugural season of our newest ship, Seven Seas Splendor, and our incredible journey continues with this milestone as we begin construction of Seven Seas Grandeur. In two years’ time we will welcome the sixth ship to the world’s most luxurious fleet, which will exemplify our heritage of perfection with unrivalled space, unparallelled service, exceptional cuisine and transformative experiences that will begin the moment you step aboard.”
Seven Seas Grandeur will commence her inaugural season in November 2023, cruising 17 incredible voyages in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, plus 2 fascinating transatlantic crossings, all ranging from 7 to 16 nights in length.
