The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno attended the ‘Grand Final of Indonesian Idol Special Season: Result & Reunion’ at the RCTI + Studio, Jakarta, on Monday (26/4).
The presence of the Menparekraf at this event, beside as a form of support for the music industry which is one of the creative economy subsectors, is also an opportunity for him to witness the application of disciplined health protocols for events and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) in Indonesia.
“My presence at the Indonesian Idol event is a form of support for the world of music and events which are one of the sub-sectors of the creative economy. Especially now that Indonesia’s creative economy sector is ranked 3rd in the world, only losing to Hollywood owned by the United States and K-Pop belonging to South Korea,” explained by Menparekraf.
In addition, the Menparekraf did not miss mentioning the implementation of the event which went well with the implementation of strict health protocols.
“By holding an international standard event like this (Indonesian Idol), we deserve to be optimistic that with a commitment to health protocols in holding events and MICE sector activities, after the ‘Kharisma Event Nusantara’ was launched on April 10, 2021, now more events can be held. in Indonesia,” he explained.
For information, the ‘Grand Final Indonesian Idol Special Season: Result & Reunion’ was held with strict health protocols. From the start, a temperature check was carried out and had to include a negative Covid-19 certificate both by means of an Antigen Swab and PCR Swab.
