Citi Indonesia & HOPE Worldwide Indonesia Donate Assistance to Support Handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia

Citi Indonesia (Citibank), supported by the Citi Foundation, and in partnership with Non-Governmental Organization HOPE Worldwide Indonesia as the implementation partner, donated community relief support to help alleviate the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The symbolic donation handover ceremony was held at Graha BNPB and also attended by Mr. Doni Monardo as the Chairperson of the National Covid-19 Task Force.

The assistance provided includes:

  • 3000 food and nutrition packages;
  • 1000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) packages for health workers in hospitals and local  health centers in Jakarta, Tangerang Selatan, Semarang, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan dan Denpasar;
  • 8 mobile hand washing unit to be deployed in Jakarta, Tangerang Selatan, Semarang, Bandung,
    Surabaya, Medan dan Denpasar.

Citi Indonesia’s CEO Batara Sianturi said, “As part of Citi’s active participation, we are collaborating with
HOPE worldwide Indonesia to carry out this philanthropic initiative, to help front liner health workers and
people who are directly impacted by this pandemic, as well as to support the government’s effort to
advocate clean and healthy living.”

Meanwhile, Country Director of HOPE worldwide Indonesia Lily Salim said, “The Covid-19 pandemic that
occurred throughout the world, including in Indonesia has create a huge impact on our community. Therefore, we appreciate the opportunity of cooperation with Citi Indonesia as a collective effort between
various stakeholders, in order to overcome this pandemic.”
