Head chefs at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay in Thailand and Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta will go head-to-head in a cooking battle to showcase their culinary expertise and delight visiting guests and locals with special Thai and Indonesian dishes.
The chef battle begins on September 12 at the Riva Grill Bar & Terrace, the award-winning onsite restaurant at Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta. Thailand’s Chef Jaturon “Eddy” Homkaew and Indonesian Chef Deden Gumilar will prepare a six-course meal and pre-dinner drinks for guests.
Attending guests will play a vital role during the competition as they will determine who will reign supreme in the chef battle by casting their votes.
Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta General Manager, Paolo Randone said the event is a major opportunity to promote comradeship in the hospitality industry and celebrate Asian cuisine.
“It is a privilege to be part of this event which brings top international chefs together in the name of promoting and celebrating traditional cuisines and new creative fusions across Indonesia,” he said.
Also Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay General Manager, Dominic Egger said the event is a great opportunity for Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay to introduce Thai Cuisine to Indonesian people.
“We are excited to send some of our resident head chefs to take part in a showpiece battle with chefs in Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta, then to Wyndham properties in the major cities of Palembang and Surabaya. At all three properties, our chefs will create a delectable menu to introduce unique spices and provide an authentic Thai food experience to hotel guests and locals,” he said.
