The newly introduced cultural activities give a genuine insight into the unique, artistic ceremonial traditions that imbue life on the island of the Gods.

At one of the best resort in Bali, daily activities in the Club Lounge include learning the fragrant craft of making Canang Sari – flower offerings that act as an expression of gratitude and praise to the Gods. Canang means small square-shaped coconut leaf basket, while sari means essence and refers to the flower petals that fill it. Guests can also learn to make more elaborate temple offerings, known as Gebogan – elaborate towers of fruit and sweets that women carry on their heads in colorful processions that wind through the streets. Bali is often called the ‘island of a thousand temples’, and the fascinating Temple Tour leads guests to the resort’s own tranquil temple where a local guide explains the significance and symbolism of temples as places of Hindu worship. In the Fruit Carving workshop, edible art is created using exotic tropical fruits such as watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe. While Janur Creation is also on offer, an art form similar to origami that uses yellow ribbon-like coconut leaves to create shapes and forms for ceremonial ornamentation across the island.
