Korean pop sensations, Super Junior and iKON, and also Indian crooner Siddharth Slathia are slated to perform in the 2018 Asian Games (Asiad) closing ceremony at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon.

The closing ceremony marks the end of the quadrennial multisport event held from Aug. 18 until Sept. 2 in Jakarta and Palembang, South Sumatra.

The Korean and Indian stars will hit the stage alongside scores of top Indonesian performers. Among them are singers Isyana Sarasvati, Bunga Citra Lestari, Lea Simanjuntak, Denada, Dira Sugandi, Jflow and Afgan.

The singer of viral song “Lagi Syantik” (Pretty), Siti Badriah, will make an appearance alongside vocalist Bams and guitarist Irfan of Samsons, and Govinda’s lead guitarist, Ade.

Around 55,000 athletes, officials and spectators will also enjoy the performances of two Indonesian bands, Gigi and RAN.

Three DJs, Winky Wiryawan, Jevin Julian and Alffy Rev, are ready to pump up the audience with their beats.

Indian singer Slathia will belt out “Himmat Ke Pankh”, the Hindi cover of 2018 Asian Games official theme song “Meraih Bintang” (Reaching for the Stars).

Last but not least, iKON and Super Junior will close the night with their hits.

While the 2018 Asian Games opening ceremony put the highlight on Indonesian culture, its closing ceremony will present a party nuance for the athletes, officials and spectators.

The athletes are encouraged to enjoy the party with fellow athletes of the same sport category.

The athletes will not be grouped based on their country, but based on the sport to show unity, which represents the energy of Asia.
