Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy Held Socialization of the CHSE Protocol in Belitung

The beauty of Belitung Island is well known among domestic tourists as one of the most charming beach destinations. Not only is it blessed with beautiful coastal landscapes, Belitung currently also turns out to be one of the areas with the highest Covid-19 cure rate in Indonesia as well as one of the areas with the least number of people with Covid-19 in Indonesia.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also ensures that tourist destinations in Belitung Islands are disciplined in implementing the CHSE protocol (Cleanliness, Healthy, Safety and Environmental sustainability) during the adaptation of new habits in travel.

The Deputy of Destination and Infrastructure Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Hari Santosa Sungkari, attended the ‘Socialization of the CHSE in the Bangka Belitung Islands in the context of Adaptation to New Habits’ at Tanjung Binga Beach, Belitung, on Friday (11/9) to convey the socialization regarding the importance of maintaining proper CHSE health protocols in this time of pandemic.

Hari also explained in his remarks that even though the Bangka Belitung Islands are a green zone with the majority of open nature tourist destinations, the implementation of the CHSE is still considered important so that tourists remain safe while traveling.

“Even though it is open area, the CHSE protocol must still be implemented, tourism actors and tourists must also adhere to the rules. Now it is no longer clean at the base of being healthy, but clean at the base of being prosperous, ”said Hari.

Hari also emphasized, “Even though a number of tourist destinations in Bangka Belitung Islands have been opened again for tourists, I hope that the numbers must be controlled, namely a maximum of 50% of the total capacity. The goal is to keep effective physical distancing possible. Because even though Belitung is in the Covid-19 green zone, the tourists who come can become Covid-19 carriers. ”

In this outreach, Hari Santosa Sungkari also directly handed over CHSE facilities and support for the development of accessibility attractions, amenities for tourist destinations in Bangka Belitung which were handed over to the Acting Head (Plt.) Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Culture and Tourism Agency, Darlan.

Darlan explained that the Bangka Belitung Islands are indeed part of the Covid-19 green zone, but it is hoped that tourists visiting the Bangka Belitung Islands still have to apply health protocols correctly and with discipline.

“We have opened a tourist destination. But we also hope that everyone must implement the CHSE protocol together. From the socialization of the CHSE, we also hope that it can help promote the safe travel movement in the midst of a pandemic, ” Darlan hoped.

Furthermore, Darlan said that the Bangka Belitung Islands were a tourist destination that had different characteristics from other tourist destinations so that many became a favorite of tourists.

“Belitung Island is beautiful, very exotic, beaches like Belitung’s cannot be found anywhere else. Its culture has its own characteristics. Bangka Belitung is also like a miniature NKRI. So we consist of different tribes, different cultures, different languages, but we don’t have social friction, “said Darlan.

In the CHSE socialization, also attended by the representatives from the Health Office of the Province of Babel, M. Hendri; Lecturer at STP Bandung, Pudin Saepudin and Director of Regional Destination Development 1 at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Oni Yulfian.
